We're a Community Interest Company, with a mission to bring world-class broadband and mobile connectivity to all residents and businesses in Ridgehill. We will do this through a state-of-the-art full fibre network, capable of Gigabit speeds and superior reliability, all built underground so we preserve the beauty of our rural valley. And all our team are local residents, managing the company for the benefit of us all.
Sophie Glover:
Sophie has spent over 13 years working for the Prince’s Trust in Wales, managing a number of their youth programmes, specialising in working with young people who might have felt failed by the educational system through school, but helping to find something that they excelled at through the Trust’s personal development programmes. She has also spent years fundraising for the Prince’s Trust, and was used by them to set up a number of pilot programmes in Wales. In 2001 Sophie gained her MBA at UWCN. Since 2012, Sophie wanted a job that would allow her to fit her work around the needs of her family, and she is now a Parish Council Clerk as well as Clerking for school Governing Bodies.
Kieran Lappin:
Kieran is a qualified Accountant who has lived in Hereford for the last 23 years. He has two children that have now flown-the-nest. His work experience is predominantly within the NHS; indeed he has 36 years NHS experience. He has held seven NHS Executive Board Director Posts including 11 years as Director of Finance at Hereford Hospitals NHS Trust. His other Finance Director posts include two PCT’s, a Mental HealthTrust, a Community Health Trust, a Clinical Commissioning Group and an Ambulance Trust.
David Whurr:
David spent time in earlier years in the Merchant Navy and Armed Forces before retraining and entering the IT Industry, initially as a programmer/systems analyst, progressing through to systems administration before finally settling on the then emerging data networks industry. After nineteen years with two major outsourcing IT Service Companies, he moved to a more local position and remains involved in the architecture/implementation of local and area wide delivery of data networks.
